POINT LEVEL MEASUREMENT

LEVEL SOLUTIONS: POINT LEVEL MEASUREMENT

NUCLEAR (RADIATION BASED)

Radiation-based sensors enable precise measurement of liquids and bulk solids under extreme process conditions such as high temperatures, pressures and aggressive materials. They can be installed on the outside of process vessels during ongoing production, without disturbing the process in any way.

Echotel 961ULTRASONIC (CONTACT)

Ultrasonic contact switches use a pair of piezoelectric crystals that are encapsulated in epoxy at the tip of the transducer for level measurement. The transmit crystal converts the applied voltage from the electronics into an ultrasonic signal. When liquid is present in the gap, the receive crystal senses the ultrasonic signal from the transmit crystal and converts it back to an electrical signal. This signal is sent to the electronics to indicate the presence of liquid in the transducer gap. When there is no liquid present, the ultrasonic signal is attenuated and is not detected by the receive crystal.

SolitelVIBRATION LEVEL

Normally, SOLITEL vibrates at a frequency of approximately 350 Hz. This vibration is created by exciting the transmit piezoelectric crystal attached at the base of the outer rod. The piezoelectric crystal converts electrical energy to mechanical (vibratory) energy. Both the inner and outer rods have the same natural frequency (the frequency at which a body will vibrate freely). The vibratory energy from the outer rod is transmitted to the inner rod, setting it into vibration, and establishing resonance vibration between the rods.
