Apple French Toast

1/2 loaf of Italian Bread
5 large eggs
1 ½ cup of Milk
1 teaspoon of Vanilla
½ cup of butter
2 tablespoon of Light Corn Syrup
2-3 Granny Smith Apples, peeled and sliced

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Cut Bread in 1” Strips, place in single layer of 9x13 backing dish.  Wisk together the eggs, milk and vanilla. Pour over Bread, cover & chill for 8 hours or overnight.
2. Remove bread from dish, wipe dish clean and coat with cooking spray. 
3. Cook brown sugar, butter & syrup in a sauce pan over low heat, stirring often until the mixture is smooth. Pour into baking dish, top with sliced apples; arrange bread over apples and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. 
4. Loosen with knife and invert onto a platter.
